About Kwanzaa
Kwanzaa is a week-long celebration from December 26 to January 1 that celebrates the community, culture, and heritage of people of the Black Diaspora. Each day focuses on a guiding principle, offering values that can be carried throughout the year to inspire unity, purpose, and hope for the future.
About the Author
Ralinda Watts is an educator, DEI consultant, practitioner, and writer known for her authentic voice and passion for celebrating identity, culture, and community. As the founder of RalindaSpeaks, she creates content, fosters meaningful conversations, and leads professional development workshops that inspire connection and belonging. Ralinda’s work reflects her deep commitment to uplifting voices, stories, and traditions, especially those of the Black community. This is her first children’s book, written to share the joy of Kwanzaa with young readers and families.
